THE PLAN
Two national parks. Three days of proper driving.
Slicks Up North is a fully organised, personally curated, and luxurious group weekend driving tour through some of the best roads in the north of England — the kind of roads you plan holidays around. We've done the legwork to turn a road trip into a zero-hassle experience with no planning headaches…
Day 1 — Friday
You'll head out Friday afternoon into the Yorkshire Dales, covering around 2-3 hours of driving through sweeping moorland, dry stone walls, and the wide limestone valleys that make this part of the world genuinely special. It's a relaxed opener - a proper warm-up for the weekend ahead. You'll arrive at The Coniston Hotel that evening, a 4-star country estate sitting within 1,400 acres of private Yorkshire countryside, with a luxury spa, its own lake, and dinner waiting.
Day 2 — Saturday
The big day. 4-5 hours on the road as the landscape shifts from the rolling Dales into the raw drama of the Lake District — mountain passes, open fellside, and lakeside roads that stretch out ahead of you with nothing in the way. This is the day you'll be talking about. The group arrives at Lyzzick Hall, Keswick in the evening — a 4-star Victorian retreat above the town with views across Skiddaw and the fells.
Day 3 — Sunday
A half-day loop through the Lake District before the group heads home. A proper send-off. Group lunch together before going your separate ways.
What to Expect on the Road
Organised photo stops and scenic viewpoints are built into the route throughout the weekend, with lunch breaks planned in along the way. You'll be in convoy with the group the whole time, with long-range radios keeping everyone connected and a designated videographer capturing the weekend as it happens. Full route details and timings will be confirmed to all bookers ahead of the trip - we will give you a brief questionnaire and personally curate the trip for you based on the responses we receive from the attendees.
Bring whatever you've got — classics, supercars, hot hatches, GT cars, luxury 4x4s or weekend toys. If you're a proper petrolhead who enjoys scenic roads and a good laugh, you'll fit right in.
